Despite their name, many people saw smart locks as a silly purchase. Homeowners were skeptical about them being a worthwhile investment, often unaware of their purpose or value. Regardless if someone was ready to trust this smart home security solution or not, the market itself was a sea of sameness. An abundance of brands and products, websites and packaging, media and messaging – all of it all too similar and, alarmingly, underwhelming.

 Enter: “Make it Smart,” a campaign that shined a playful light on the benefits of smart locks by asking consumers, “If your door could talk, what would it say about your home’s security?” To show how a smart lock can transform your life, we let doors all over the world pay tribute to the Linus® Smart Lock by means of a whimsical anthem. The music video cuts through the clutter by humanizing an otherwise inanimate object and adding levity to an often fear-laden subject, illustrating how the product makes modern life simpler, safer and smarter.
