As the world’s premier brand dedicated to home fitness enthusiasts at home, in hospitality centers, and their favorite gym, Matrix has been redefining the exercise experience with dynamic performance and advanced functionality. Looking to empower their salesforce across the globe, the brand needed a strategic digital platform with the same level of performance and functionality as their products. Union was challenged with creating a new experience that could unify data and product information in real-time while being launched as part of both an 85" touch-screen experience and tablet use. With unique user experiences for each, we had to overcome drastically different needs within the same app, developing a smart, flexible platform that communicated value to a range of audiences.

A Stronger Portfolio

Background

Central to this project was our ability to provide a motion-rich, touch-enabled experience that performed on both an 85” flat touchscreen as well as a 9” iPad. With different screens fulfilling a variety of needs, we crafted multiple user stories that led to two different interactive schemas; a self-driven experience for the customer and a curator mode for the salesperson.

Our designers brought Matrix’s groundbreaking fitness products to life with a gorgeous, multi-layered interactive experience. Balancing 360˚ views of products, spec sheets and relevant vertical information, the adaptive, touch-friendly design leveraged smooth interactive motion to drive engagement and communicate product value across multiple audiences.

Functional Moves

The final product was a scalable experience that easily installed at multiple point-of-sale environments across the globe—either using a large touch monitor or directly onto a salesperson tablet. With content being pulled from the cloud, Matrix global sales team can now leverage their connected platform to stay relevant.
