<p>Are you majoring in marketing? It’s actually ranked the 13th most popular major out of <a href="https://www.collegefactual.com/majors/business-management-marketing-sales/marketing/rankings/most-popular/#:~:text=Marketing%20is%20more%20of%20a,of%20Marketing%20students%20are%20women.">almost 400</a> other majors. Since it’s one of our favorite majors, we look forward to supporting a college-bound student every year with our annual Kelly Somey Digital Marketing Scholarship. This student must be interested in pursuing a digital marketing career and must be passionate about creative work.</p>

<h2 dir="ltr">Scholarship Eligibility</h2>
<p dir="ltr">To be eligible to receive this scholarship, you must:</p>
<p dir="ltr">- Be a high school senior based in the U.S. </p>
<p dir="ltr">- Be interested in pursuing a creative career in the digital space</p>
<p dir="ltr">- Apply by submitting an essay (detailed below)</p>
<h2 dir="ltr">How to Apply</h2>
<p dir="ltr">Please submit a 300-500-word essay describing your passion for creativity (bonus points for a focus on digital!) that also highlights your goals and any teachers or mentors who have helped you along the way. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Please include your first and last name, and where you plan to attend college.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Please submit your essay by email to scholarship@union.co with “2022 Digital Marketing Scholarship” in the subject line.</p>
<h2 dir="ltr">Scholarship Details</h2>
<p dir="ltr">Union will review all applications and select one recipient to receive a $1,000 scholarship to go toward their college expenses.<br /></p><h2 dir="ltr">Deadline</h2>
<p dir="ltr">The deadline for entries is Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:59 PM (EST). The winner will be contacted by email shortly after.</p>

<p dir="ltr">This scholarship honors Kelly Somey, a former high school art teacher who inspired Union’s founder, <a href="https://union.co/articles/banks-wilson-silver-medal-award">Banks Wilson</a>, to seek a path after graduation driven by creativity. Mr. Somey was a dedicated mentor and teacher who went above and beyond to provide guidance to students looking to develop their talents and pursue careers in creative fields.<br /></p>
