About this Position

Are you a natural leader with deep digital, project and resource management experience and love leading, managing and growing a team of project managers?

Project Management


  • Responsible for ensuring projects and tasks are completed on time and on budget.

  • Develop thoughtful and strategic project plans; guiding and advising Project Managers as they execute against the work.

  • Keep a pulse check on project profitability, by pulling reports via our project management tool Mavenlink, providing bi-weekly Project Health reports with the wider team.

  • Partner with VP of Operations to pull and analyze monthly Effective Bill Rates in an effort to understand project health.

  • Partner with the Accounts team to draft monthly client invoices, sending out each invoice using our accounting software, Xero.

Resource Management

  • Partner with our Resource Manager to ensure the right people are doing the right work and that we are staffed accordingly.

  • Work with VP of Operations to help collect data and insight to help show overall resource and project health of the agency, sending to the Executive team for discussion and review.

  • Have a keen understanding of the impacts of the project pipeline, conducting a variety of staffing scenarios in an effort to recommend whether we staff up or down.

Relationship Management

  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and feel comfortable presenting to senior staff.

  • Partner with the Executive Account Director to build trust with Union clients through regular communication, the consistent delivery of quality work and a strong understanding of the client’s business and goals.

  • Successfully communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully and professionally to internal staff where necessary



Department Growth and Vision

  • Make strategic recommendations on how to improve existing capabilities and processes within the Projects Department.

  • As a member of the Executive team, be an active participant in making agency wide decisions that ladder into the goals and vision of the business.

  • Lead and manage a team of Project and Resource Managers, ensuring their career paths are built out and goals are being met.

  • Responsible for meeting annual department goals set by the Managing Director and bringing to the table new ideas and insights tied to the department.

  • Proactively research and understand different tool sets available to help further optimize existing Projects Department processes

New Business and Account Growth

  • Responsible for accurate depiction of pipeline projects in Mavenlink to help understand staffing needs and agency revenue projections.

  • Actively support Executive New Business Director and Managing Director in helping to understand capacity and ability to take on net new business.

  • Actively support the Executive Accounts Director in helping to understand capacity and ability to take on account growth opportunities.

  • Work with Department Directors to help accurately estimate and scope out new business and account growth opportunities.
