About this Position

We’re looking for an Executive Media Director to lead the overall agency and client strategy in paid digital media.

Media Department

  • Leads the overall agency and client strategy for paid digital media - programmatic, paid search, paid social and other paid media channels.
  • Works collaboratively across departments to develop the strategic design for innovative, omni channel / integrated media plans
  • Regularly researches and understands emerging media trends and brings new ideas to the team for application and brainstorming
  • Responsible for developing and documenting departmental ways of working and ensuring successful delivery of department services
  • Fosters strong agency-vendor relationships to develop comprehensive media plans that successfully accomplish client goals

Client Management

  • Develops POVs on strategies and approaches for key client accounts
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of key client accounts
  • Provides strategic analysis of plans and campaigns to determine success of measurable variables, identifying clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Partners with agency account leads to understand each client’s challenges, objectives and creates innovative integrated media plans & recommendations to meet client goals
  • Leads the management, tracking and reconciliation all client media spends

New Business and Account Growth

  • Supports the agency in developing the strategy, scope and estimated fees for media services
  • Assists team in hitting annual sales and marketing targets
  • Partners with agency account leads to garner and convert new business opportunities for Media services
  • Develop and present media strategy plans for new business pitches
  • Nurture and elevate existing Media services resulting in client satisfaction and organic growth

  • Influences team with the ability to lead, inspire and guide cross-functional teams
  • Reports to the VP of Agency Services
  • Manages department discipline leads, develops career paths, leads performance reviews, solves issues and recruits new staff


  • 10+ years experience in digital media planning and strategy
  • 4+ years of management
  • In-depth knowledge of digital multi-channel media strategy and campaign management including media platforms & technologies across programmatic, paid search, paid social and other paid media channels and campaign data strategy.
  • Leader that wants to have a profound impact on an organization’s long term media strategy
  • Manager that can create a positive working environment and fosters a collaborative team approach
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to capture an audience
  • Ability to balance a varied workload inclusive of supporting the team in the client work as well as representing the department at the leadership level
  • Passion for growth, motivated by new challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams
