Despite the past year with COVID-19, college and career dreams still matter. That’s why our annual Kelly Somey Digital Marketing Scholarship is back this year to reward a college-bound student who is interested in pursuing a digital marketing career and has a deep passion for creativity.

To be eligible to receive this scholarship, you must be a high school senior based in the U.S. You must also be interested in pursuing a creative career in the digital space. Union will review all applications and select one recipient to receive the $1,000 scholarship.
This scholarship will be awarded shortly after the May 15 application deadline.

Scholarship Eligibility

This scholarship honors Kelly Somey, a former high school art teacher who inspired Union’s founder, <a href="https://union.co/articles/banks-wilson-silver-medal-award">Banks Wilson</a>, to seek a path after graduation driven by creativity. Mr. Somey was a dedicated mentor and teacher who went above and beyond to provide guidance to students looking to develop their talents and pursue careers in creative fields.

Recipient Will Receive

The deadline for entries is Saturday, May 15 at 11:59 PM (EST). The winner will be contacted by email shortly after.

Please submit a 300-500-word essay describing your passion for creativity (bonus points for a focus on digital!) that also highlights your goals and any teachers or mentors who have helped you along the way.
